The Employment Process

Aegis Protective Services understands that the officers hired to protect a customer’s location will be a direct reflection of our company reputation and the reputation of our client. With that in mind, we will only hire security personnel who meet or exceed our hiring standards. During the interview and investigative process, we will verify information obtained from our applicant prior to making a hiring decision. After all, our liability is in the hands of our officers and we must know who we are hiring and verify their capabilities as a security professional.

Applicants will be requested to complete our employment application thoroughly and accurately. Upon completion of the application, the applicant will schedule an interview with the Aegis Operations Manager to discuss prior work history, current job openings and what Aegis Protective Services can offer to our employees.

Aegis Protective Services management team expects our employees to maintain a very high level of professionalism at all times. Aegis has established a company policy and procedure manual in addition to site specific Standard Operating Guidelines which we require our employees to follow in order to meet the goals of our company and our customers. Some of the requirements that we impose on our officers include but are not limited to:

  • Arrive for duty “on time”
  • Professional appearance to include officer being clean shaven
  • Uniform must be clean, pressed and fit properly. Shoes must be shined.
  • Work scheduled shift days and times without “call offs”
  • Perform duties as outlined in Standard Operating Guidelines
  • Exceptional performance standards
  • Zero tolerance for discrimination and/or sexual harassment.
  • Drug Free Workplace

Employees will be inspected randomly by an Aegis Supervisor/Manager to ensure that the officers are meeting the company expectations and to provide support to the officers in the field. These unannounced inspections provide a checks and balances system to our Service Delivery.
